4% on the 1st $100,000 and 2% on the balance of the sale price.
We get a lot of questions as to why we charge this amount. In order to answer that question properly we feel its important to understand how the commission is split between the buyers agent and the listing agent. Buyers agents receive 3.2% on the 1st $100,000 and 1.1% on the balance of the sale price. Our commission as the Listing agents receive .08% on the 1st $100,000 and .09% on the balance of the sale price.
This is were we differ from other business models as normally the entire commission is split (50/50) between both agents. We believe it's important to provide a similar commission to the Buyers agent as they would earn on any other listing. We feel good about the amount we make on the listing side!
